I love this app it helps me with my personal Spanish friends and work.

Thank you so much for this app!! Using it for French has been very helpful however I’d rather speak Tahitian to my French speaking friends could you please get want to add the Tahitian language please.

I have noticed that this app sometimes seems to have issues with trying to translate Russian, Ukrainian and Slavic female names into English too. One of my two devices is a 32 GB Wi-Fi Only White First Generation iPad mini and the other device is a 128 GB Wi-Fi Only Silver iPad Air 2...

Can you please add Japanese (Romaji)

Very good dictionary & translation. This App will be excellent if add photo to some word’s meaning.

Please add Cantonese language (粵語、jyut6 jyu5）translation as soon as possible. Thank you! distinguish: 中文（Chinese, zung1 man4） 粵語（Cantonese, jyut6 jyu5） 正體字（traditional Chinese, zing3 tai2 zi6） 北方話（Mandarin, bak1 fong1 waa2） 拼音（phonetic spelling, ping3 jam1） And also, one of the functions make people uncomfortable. Please see the situation: im using Google translate voice input for translating between English and Cantonese, when I speak Cantonese than Google translate will give me and English translation and speak out loud, and that is okay. However, if I speak English, then Google will give me a Chinese result and speak out loud in Mandarin. That doesnt make any sense, and makes me feel I was not being respected. So please fix it as soon as possible. Here are two solutions: the first one, turn off the automatic speak function; or the second one, when people have selected traditional Chinese as their translated language, system will automatically speaks in Cantonese for the translation.

Google translate assisted me in talking to a woman and later that night with this app I took her home with me. She didn’t speak a word of English and I spoke no Russian.

I really genuinely love the app, it’s just I wish you could add a Somali speech. I’m currently on the verge of learning Somali and google translate would really help.

The software that translates written notes in incredibly accurate. I am in awe.

The camera feature is like the coolest thing in the world

When it works, its great; when it doesnt, its terrible. I use this app for many languages. I dont often have problems with French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, or Korean. I have had continuous problems with Chinese, though. Sometimes, the language just disappears. Ill try to translate between Chinese and English using the microphone to speak and the Chinese option will disappear. Sometimes, it shows Chinese as an option but wont actually take spoken input. Ive had to close out of the app and restart it over and over again. This is a relatively new issue, but its very persistent and really hobbles the app. I havent had such issues with the camera feature for Chinese, nor have I had any issues with the written Chinese. Ive actually found both features very useful in my study of the Chinese language and my examination of Chinese characters that I find in books and on packaging. Im grateful for those great features. I really hope that the audio feature for Chinese is fixed soon. I have submitted reports to Google but havent heard anything back. Just be aware of this issue if using the app for Chinese. Double-click on the home button and swipe away the app to close it out and then restart it. That has helped me. Perhaps part of the issue is that Chinese is tonal? Other languages are not and theyre much easier to understand by ear when hearing a person speak. Perhaps that extends to the difficulty of making the app work with it? I have noticed that even when it works, sometimes its finnicky when recognizing certain tones. Its a great app, but this really needs improvement. I look forward to seeing what fixes updates bring.

If you need more than 10 seconds of dialogue recorded, forget about it with this app! I needed about 2 minuets to get the idea of an assignment, but I kept having to restart both my homework and this app’s microphone after just a few seconds of dialogue making it difficult to piece together the assignment. Also, when I went to start my first review it shut my phone down! Nope...not happy with this app, sorry!

Suddenly deleted all my offline packages, and does not let me download again on wifi! No packages available at this time... Thank you very much for the promise!

All that handwriting junk taking up %80 of the screen, no way to close it, someone was drunk when they added this new unmovable junk

Too often the app doesn’t even get close to translating a foreign language. If it worked even a 50% success rate I would be happy.

Hello Google, I am here to tell you about some problems I have with this app! When I sometimes have words being pronounced, when it suddenly crashes and, I’ve got to restart the app. Also sometimes I have problems the English narrator saying words wrong! Please fix it! Thanks, and sincerely me!
