I found that this app has is great for translating any language to English. What I found difficult was that when I was texting to my Korean aunt she told me that this writing wasnt correct and the toning and attitude of the writing was rude when I wasnt writing rudely in English.

I use it to translate Japanese a lot. My one problem is that the photo-translate thing doesnt work as well as I wished.

Google , thank you from the help that has helped Google put this fantastic little feature together. This tool will come in handed for anyone at anytime to communicate with the rest of our world!!! This is truly a win win situation for all of us together and to be as one Whole big world of a family!!!

I have used this for about a month now with someone who speaks absolutely no English, only Arabic. But her Arabic is from Morocco, and I have found that there are many dialects of Arabic. If you find the correct dialect in any of the languages, (Spanish in Mexico is completely different than Spanish in Spain) it is easy to use as it speaks, as well as writes the translation. Some words do not translate into other languages. You can find a shorthand use words that you have learned in the other language because you hear the words as it speaks to them and soon you can communicate with ease. I would feel comfortable in any country using this translation tool.

This app only translates voice English to Russian reliably around 30% of the time. Text English avoids speech mistakes but the translations are still often incorrect. I downloaded the Russian dictionary but it did not seem to help. I wouldnt travel and rely on this app, it is still a work in progress.
