I have this app but I never imagined needed it before I actually went on a trip. A Japanese tourist arrived at my job in NJ absolutely terrified with a map of NYC and possessing very little command of the English language. I was able to quickly open the app, change the setting to "English to Japanese", and communicate with her. I typed the information in English and the app spoke the words in Japanese. This app is very accurate. We were able to help her get to her destination in NYC. Thank you!

Good but it is still not perfect

I live this app. Worked like a charm over seas typing entries or thru photos. The ultimate test is being told by locals that I got the translation correct. 5stars from a Road Warrior

I have been listening to Hatsune Miku and she sings in Japanese. And I wanted to know what she said so I looked it up here and boom! And I want to know what other things mean. Download this game!

I would like to point out that "Filipino" is NOT a language, its an ethnicity. The main dialect in the Philippines is called Tagalog. Furthermore, some words in English come up to be the same in "Filipino" when they in fact are not the same. Ex. Grandpa should translate to Lolo which it does not. There also is no pronunciation voiceover so you cant hear what the words are supposed to sound like. These reasons bring down the value of the app and the entire google translate system as Im sure these problems are not exclusive to one language.

I think this app is good its helpful but the problem is that it defines word to word meaning of a word not the meaning in the sentence anyways I know its a machine thing its doing its best so Ill give a four star because still it helps a lot

Im a translator and I cant carry dictionaries around with me when Im away from my office. So far this app has proven invaluable to me. I love it! I know from experience that there is no such thing as a perfect electronic translation program ( Id be out of work) but this app is as close to perfection there is!

This app is basically terrific – a lifesaver when trying to read in a new language. (For me, Spanish.) The camera feature, which can be used to translate larger amounts of printed matter, has a long way to go. Recently, a new problem has cropped up: when typing in a few words of Spanish, suddenly "Exp." appears as the translation. This seems to happen mostly with reflexive verbs, but its hard to tell. That is having a serious adverse effect on the apps usefulness. I hope they will fix it soon.

The Aramaic Language is not included in this app. It is something I am trying to learn.

I have trouble talking to my Mexican parents and I cant talk to them but with this app I can text them my Christmas wish list in Spanish.

This is great! Not only easy to use but quick results. And I love how it will not only spell but pronounce it for me so I know Im saying it correctly
