Google Translate App Reviews

I have been living in the state from March 19th, 1977. Since then I have learned and teach some of translations and the customers differentiate. This App worked most of the time, however major lack of human feelings and knowledges. This is the year 2017, not in the year 1977! I expect the developers to do much more indeed! I have been using this app to write in Russian. I sent a multi-paragraph text in both Russian and English to someone who knows both. He said he was shocked at the accuracy. Thanks Google!

I love this app and use it all the time (its definitely a godsend), but I hate that I cant translate to and from Western Frisian in the app. Its available online but not on the app for some reason, and it would be helpful to have it on the app.

But Croatian/English translations are next to useless. Whether words are entered by text, camera or speech, it tends to give multiple meanings that are completely unrelated to each other and which dont make sense in context, or it offers no translation at all - just a repeat of the word it cant translate. Camera is particularly lame.

Im using the app and its pretty good however I have to cross-reference almost everything with another translator because the translations are not pure. The biggest issue or words in the English language that do not translate properly over to the Chinese language and vice versa. Four instance silly in Chinese comes across as stupid in English. Obviously things like that could create a misunderstanding.

Ill be deleting all my apps that have anything to do with Google. I will change my search engines to Safari and Bing and will no longer use Google because of them taking down the one star reviews on the CNN app. When people write reviews they should not be taking down. Fake!!!

Good: simplified Chinese & Latin-based languages horrible at Japanese to English

Overall, the app is pretty good. It has a great variety of languages and words. Still, I have found that certain words cant be translated. Also, I would hope that they add a version were you can choose a set of words to shuffle and get quizzed to help memorize them. Either way, I still recommend this app.

This is an amazing app, until I updated to v5.11. I am in China and it has been working good - every now and then need to close and restart app. Now with v5.11 the I have to close and restart app every few minutes. I wish I wouldnt have updated.

After the latest updates with recognition on top of it being free there is no better program imo
