Google Translate App Reviews

A perfect free translator app. It does exactly what I need although I would like to be able to copy and paste. But what do I want for free. I appreciate this app from google. Thank for making this available to us on a limited budget.

Unusable buttons position. Fix this, please (quality of translate grown bolder, it good)!

Why havent you added the option to change voice output to male?

Great and very useful.

Im in American who lives in Mexico full-time. I moved here in March from Texas. This application lets me do everything that Ive ever dreamed of and more as a Spanish conversion application. For example, I can dictate a phrase or an email in English and it converts into Spanish for me in real time. I can enter into Spanish word and it converts it to English. I can use the photo feature on this and take a picture of text in Spanish and it converts it in real time in English. It also does pronunciations so I can continue to practice my Spanish. In short, Ive never seen a thing like this and I am completely thrilled. Ive never written a review for an application although Im a long time Apple user. And Im happy to report this is a five out of five application. PS I have taught my 71-year-old mother how do use this application as well. And she loves it! Thomas in San Miguel Mexico

I was using the speech to translate option for Chinese, and it would randomly go off and say a really inappropriate phrase when I wasnt even talking. The first time it said "free p***n videos" and the second time it said "XXX Pictures". Im terrified and disgusted @ the same time....

My translations are not working and never have not even one time please fix this or suggest one that will work I have many family members there that cant write English please!

Try translating something into a whole bunch of different languages and then back to English. Its hilarious! Here are a few quotes Ive seen: You are depressed banana. I have no pants. ... goodbye. We must find the dark Long of the shoes. Mr. President, I want to man from you LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL! X DDD DDD! Wonderful app Google, and I really mean that! Im not being sarcastic at all. This app is amazing and very entertaining! I mean I would give it one star if I were a businesswoman. But Im not a businesswoman, Im a 13-year-old girl who need some entertainment. And you have been giving me that so thank you very much! I could go on and on about how wonderfuley amusing this App is, but why are we still calling it an app? Lets make it a game! Google nonsense, or LOL translator! Seriously google, give it some thought. I know everyone would like it. I know I do!

I try to take a photo of a shirt that I have no clue with the languages in and it doesnt work

Japanese character in previous versions would pick up with no problem in low light almost unreadable font it use to work .... now it just wont pick up characters that at one point in previous version would be able to pick up .... please revert to previous so that the Japanese characters would work again

Someone at Google needs to take a look at Spanish translations. It is omitting the accent marks. This app used to be awesome. Its unusable now.

I noticed many glitches inside app, for instance i typed in a spanish word Rosales inside the hindi box. as i was messing around i noticed that every bottom box translations in every language except english keeps showing the word royals. I did my research and rosales is not a hindi word.Google need to fix this problem as soon as possible. Individual words, its great but, sentences, it takes too literal. It cant do sentences or expressions too well.

We should be able to sign in with our Gmail account and keep the words we received in favor of.

After running updates on computer with iTunes, you still have to manually update all Google crap from each mobile device. This means iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch all have to be done separately. That wastes my time!!
