This app saved me when ordering in Rome. Especially when Im not in touristy areas. It has a camera features that instantly translates what it sees into English.

Offline translation has a problem in ios 10 iPhone 6s . after downloading packages for the first time , the packages are disappeared and never download again with the message (the packages are not available now please try again...)

I am really impressed by the smooth translation by photo. You just take a picture and GoogleTranslate translate it right away, and really well! Better than the usual "type and translate" in some cases... Its really great for translating asian characters!

I was at lunch yesterday and the menue was in Spanish so I just took out my phone and with the camera Google translated everything before my eyes! They thought it was so cool

Can translate English to Japanese Sometimes but not the other way around when its offline. Japanese to English doesnt work at all offline even though I had downloaded the Japanese and English offline pack already

It changed what I wanted to say into something else, dont get it, its a waste.

Great app. One drawback: working with a smartphone can not export or print a list of "favorites". Please add this feature. Thanks to developers.

Must have familiarity with a regional dialect of Arabic to navigate translation results. Good over-produces results & you must through them. Good for rough approximations.

Used this fantastic translator in 5 countries both on and off-line. My ONLY QUESTION IS, WHY CANT I DOWNLOAD THIS APP ON A MacBook Pro OS 10? Any HELP appreciated

I tried to translate some writing on a book, and it was a glitching and showing up with words from both languages everywhere. Thank you Google.

You advertise Cambodian as a supported language, but it is not available inside the app.

The app works great. Just like mentioned below, it works best for translating a word or short phrase, but in a pinch, this app will help!

There is a problem while searching for an offline package and it says there is no offline package available at this time!

This app is useful for translating single words or short sentences between languages. It cant translate completely sentences very well, but then again, Humans have always been better at translating complete sentences than computers (if they can fluently speak the language in question, obviously ;) ).

There is no safari webpage translation extension... even Microsoft has one!

Why you remove automatic my downloaded offline translation???

The apps translations are embarrassingly wrong, its microphone is the worst I have ever seen. The entire app is laughable, and a testament to Googles arrogance. I dont recommend this app to anyone. Using this app was all around an unpleasant and frustrating experience.
