This helps me a lot bc I am very dumb and I need to learn Spanish

I have officially given up on this app. When you try to do translations when you are completely offline, it gives very poor translations, usually one word. When you have the smallest amount of service, the app tries to fetch from the online dictionary instead of the one downloaded to your phone and the lag is even longer than waiting for the offline version to load. One-word translations can be no help at times, and when a word has more than one meaning, too bad because only one appears. Ive been using this for French and Spanish, two languages you would think would be well-developed on this platform.

Speech to text option never works, and always cuts out halfway through a sentence. Dont say you have speech to text recognition if it doesnt work.

Review date: 28th Jan 2018 This another of those “oh no, they did it again” moment in which I update an app to later regret it. Why have you changed the Spanish castellano voice to a South American one?? Pronunciation of words is different in Spain to LatinAmerica. In LatinAmerica c’s, z’s and s’s all sound the same while castellano Spanish they don’t! “Cerezas” should be pronounced “cerezas”, not “seresas”. At least give the option for users to choose either of them.

It’s OK when it’s working however it kept locking up while trying to communicate with another person

One of the best App. Very useful to me. This is one of the greatest gift from google to world. Great invention. Google translate works great in browser but it’s difficult to use in iPhone. Thanks a lots for making this app free...really hats off Google. Please improve Language like Chinese, French, Hindi, Kannada. Overall it’s great work..

There needs to be an English to Scots English and something that will pronounce the words. I am trying to learn Scots English and Scots Gaelic from English.

This app very useful but now stope when I open camera for translation. note: I use IOS10

Why is there no statement from google why this feature is not supported? One has to wonder!

Google translate helped me bag this Brazilian broad that couldn’t speak any English that I met on tinder(also a great app)

I dont why but every time I open the Camera to Translate something the app freezes so I have to close it and then open it again but still the same problem

The web version of this app used to show alternate translations for a word that had multiple meanings. (E.g., translating “charcuterie” from French to English would show you not only “delicatessen,” but “butcher,” “cold cuts,” etc.) That the app only shows you the first definition/translation is bad enough; worse yet, it looks like the old multiple-definition/translation functionality has been removed from the web-app version as well—at least when viewed in a mobile browser like iOS’s Safari. Dear Google: STOP BREAKING YOUR OWN STUFF IN THE NAME OF DUMBING IT DOWN FOR IDIOTS.

The app is great but all it needs is more reviewed translations because most times the app will give inaccurate or nowhere near translations. That’s all that needs improvement so far...
